Biography:
Taghlib Oweis is a Jordanian sculptor from Ajloun, whose self-taught practice draws inspiration from his early experiences working with raw stone. Although he studied music at the University of Jordan, his fascination with the transformative power of sculpture led him to explore this medium. His work has been showcased in prominent exhibitions across Jordan, Dubai, Dhaka, and Detroit, reflecting his
unique approach to form and material.
Statement:
Taghlib Oweis believes in an intuitive, evolving approach to sculpture, where each piece emerges through an improvised dialogue between artist and stone. For him, true sculpture is not bound by rigid planning but is a process of discovery, revealing a singular form among countless possibilities.
