Biography:
Dana Barqawi is a multidisciplinary artist and urban planner from Amman, Jordan, with a BSc in Architecture and MScs in International Cooperation, Urban Development, and Emergency Architecture. Her socially and politically engaged art explores colonial narratives, indigenous identities, womanhood, and community. Dana’s work, created in her Amman studio, has been exhibited globally and featured in World Literature Today, Discontent, Architectural Review, and more.

Statement:
This mural represents research by the Center for Lebanese Studies on youth transitions from education to employment in the context of displacement. It reflects the aspirations and personal stories of young people navigating uncertainty in Lebanon and Jordan.
