Biography:
Khaldoun Hijazin is a Jordanian visual artist and cultural director, currently serving as Director of Art and Cultural Programs at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. He holds an MFA from SMFA - Tufts University and is completing his PhD in philosophy of art at the University of Jordan, where he also earned his BA. Hijazin has exhibited solo in Amman and Dubai and participated in numerous group shows and exchanges across Jordan, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the
United States. He is represented by Tabari Artspace in Dubai/London.

Statement:
Hijazin’s art explores themes of authority, nobility, and the “holy” in contemporary culture, prompting viewers to question these concepts in everyday life. His style blends classical Western painting with modern advertising, highlighting how these visual traditions shape our ideological and material experiences. Through this approach, Hijazin examines the history of images and their evolving global
significance.
