Lot 20
Amazzoni/Horsewomen
Lot Details

Piero Orlando was born in Rome on 30 May 1970, originally from Fossalto, province of Campobasso, lives and works in Rome. Piero is a lawyer and artist.

Since he was a child he has cultivated a passion for painting and art, for nature and for culinary art. Today he pushes himself to the boundaries of olfactory art and edible art, in a continuous and exciting activity of exploration, experimentation and contamination of the five senses with art, in art and outside of art.

He inherited his artistic talent from his great-grandfather Federico Orlando and his family environment, experimenting with various artistic techniques together with his father Antonio, an administrative magistrate, and his uncle Antonio, chemist and pharmacist. Today he reworks in a modern key a particular technique of material painting, already explored by his father in the Seventies, which however dates back to the Sixties, the result of the brilliant intuition of his grandfather Pietro, who passed away in 1965, and whom unfortunately Piero never met.
